Gettle Incorporated provided the Country Club of York with its latest major renovations. Starting with their infrastructure, the existing 800-amp, 240/120v delta high leg overhead electrical service was upgraded to a new underground 1600-amp 208/120v 3-phase service. This 208/120v 3-phase service required the engineering team to provide extensive changes throughout the entire Club, including areas and systems not part of the renovations. The electrical service changes will allow for the Club’s future growth.

In addition to the infrastructure changes, the renovations included a new casual bar and dining area, a two-story addition that included the complete relocation and enlargement of the kitchen, freezers and coolers as well as, the new Porte-cochere, entrance lobbies and elevator. All of the renovations and additions were installed with highend finishes. LED lighting and dimming were used wherever possible for energy maintenance savings.

Finally, due to the extensive renovations with the kitchen and dining areas, the Club was closed for several months. Closing a business for renovations is never an easy task. Scheduling and coordination was critical due to the owner needing to be reopened for member functions. Gettle worked tirelessly with all the other trades to allow for all to work in close proximity and meet the demands of the schedule.
